Aliyah – the decision to live in Israel – remains the highest expression of Zionism. The ZFA supports the successful integration of all new prospective immigrants into Israeli society. As per the Israeli ‘Law of Return,’ Jews from all over the world have the right and opportunity to immigrate to Israel – a right that has been accessed by millions of Jews who might be fleeing from embattled countries, who wish to build a new life for themselves, who want to fulfill their ideological aspirations or those who seek to lead a fuller Jewish life. Over 10,000 Australians, who have been assisted in their process by the ZFA Aliyah Department and by the ZFA Israel Office, have made Israel their home, giving Australia one of the highest Aliyah rates (per capita) in the Western World. Step 1-Jewish Agency’s Global Service Center 

The easiest way to start your aliyah process is to visit this website: https://www.jewishagency.org/making-aliyah/

OR:

Open an aliyah file with the Jewish Agency Global Service Centre. They will determine your oleh status, ask you to fill out an online questionnaire and to upload relevant documents. The Global Centre will then inform the relevant aliyah representative that you are ready for an interview.

Step 2- Local Aliyah Department

The local aliyah representative will contact you to book a meeting to perform an interview and to verify your documentation. The representative will subsequently apply for your Aliyah Approval.

Step 3- Mazal Tov! You Have Been Approved for Aliyah!

Our team will guide you on your final steps prior to your aliyah. This step includes acquiring your aliyah visa, booking a flight and a final meeting to go over your first steps in Israel. As our goal is to ensure that your aliyah will be both smooth and successful, we will also put you in touch with Telfed. Telfed is the South African and Australian Olim Society in Israel whose core goal is to support olim and their absorption into their new home.
